Originally from a small town near Ottawa, Christiane learned resilience at an early age. She built a career in the engine room of corporate finance: the IDRC (with a posting in Cape Town, South Africa), the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, ten years as a portfolio manager at Investissement Québec, followed by Laurentian Bank and a role as Chief Financial Officer.
